The unincorporated town of Pacific Beach is located about 20 minutes north of the tourist heavy Ocean Shores, nestled into the coast and hugged on one side by a national park and on the other by the Quinalt Reservation. It’s not close to much, but what it lacks in choices, it makes up for with quaintness. It is a sleepy little beach town and most things close by 9. The locals are friendly and more than willing to point travelers and new friends in the right direction. It is not a resort town. Just a quiet and different little spot many Washingtonians don’t even know exist. If you yearn for the ocean, but could do without the tourists, Pacific Beach is for you. I plan to highlight new and must-see locales pretty regularly. 90% of this town is small, locally owned businesses. It’s nice to support that.
